William Scagel GENUINE and ORIGINAL hunter. A knife by the man who started it all, who inspired Bo Randall to start, the subject of several books, and a prime example of a hunter with the VL&A, Chicago mark on the back of the blade. Brass guard, stacked leather washer handle with a stag pommel that Scagel himself invented. The knife has been cleaned to the point that part of the Chicago in the VL&A mark is hard to read, 10 1/2'' oal, 5 1/2'' blade, but look close at the high-res image and see for yourself. Rare chance to own an important part of cutlery history. Sheath is typical Scagel, sewn and riveted with the back side of the loop extended the length of the knife and oversized.
